Description:
So with my resurrections in the RWBY fandom I wanted to use my new characters to push me to learn how to draw... which means doing things I feel uncomfortable with. I have never, ever been good with expression. My goal is four pictures for each OC, different expressions, lighting and poses.

As you can tell, I often use Caihongs Bell sleeves to hind fingers... erg hands. Even with Clip Studio models they never look great. Her face also looks off. I think its the rounded angle of her jawline giving her a chunky feel.

Well, this pose was influenced by Caihong's love of bubble tea. Peach bubble tea in fact. Especially if provided by the adorably cute Touwa (Peaceful Peach). A boy who serves at the local bubble tea cafe she has a crush on. Too proud to ask him on a date, Caihong always tries to get his attention but the sweet, cheerful boy is completely oblivious to her attention.

This is related to her influence, the Monk Prince. Basically a prince mediates to find enlightenment despite the rage of his Emperor father. The emperor commands all the animals to distract him including koi who dance and blow bubbles. The Prince ignores him until the Lord of the Heavens takes pity and commands a Peach Grove to grow around him, shielding him until he finds enlightenment.

Haven is all about numbers. Students arrive in thousands, and graduate by the handful. No other Academy has a dropout rate like Haven Academy; if they are lucky not to be crippled, maimed or dead.
But fresh from the success of the 39th Vytal Festival, Mistrali arrive in droves and if they want to succeed every student has to claw tooth and nail to stand out!
Some do it as teacher’s pets. Other’s shine before lawless crowds of the underground fight club known as Lei Tai. Fewer still attract the patronage of the elite.
Team CLWD vows to do it all and be battle ready in time for the 40th Vytal Games! What could stand in their way? Everything.

Caihong wants to be an actor, a popstar and a renowned badass all at once. She wants the world to know she shines for them and wants, nay expects! to inspire them to shine with her.
She flourishes as one of the most popular students at Haven because she has a way of making others feel like the most important, cleverest, attractive person in the room and they are happy to do her that teensy weensy favour. Those closest are wary of her smooth words, elegant gestures and tones of such sincerity that can easily convince others to act against their own self interest. It makes for a conundrum in that those who know and love her best trust her the least… or at least with their pocket money.
However in the heat of battle their trust is instinctive and her natural confidence encourages them to be their best, if only to highlight her own perfection. She fights with grace and beauty, like there is a spotlight on her or there are judges giving marks. She will be ruthless to get what she wants, the accolades she deserves!
