Ah this one is tough but you are really getting close. One thing is that the word "gay" is phonetically identical to the word "whale" in Japanese. W had a futile half-day debate with his colleague (a girl - who is a slasher or a big proponent of gay coupling fanart) so felt the impulse to destroy everything that is...."whale" of course. 
Although killing whales could problematic...as we know.
