Description Probably one of the most interesting vehicles I have aver found. The location and lighting were not ideal, and for myself that is one of the challenges of photography.

Very nice shot. I like Studebaker trucks. It looks like there is enough left of that one to make a nice street rod.

It is probably re-storable.

These old vehicles were artfully designed, weren't they Wayne? I like the contrast between the umber of the metal and the colors of the grass. An interesting combo along with the chrome, that is amazingly untarnished.

I think so Sandy... those old vehicles had class. Not that there are not some nice ones today... but they seem to lack the sparkle of the older ones.

I wish I coud have a trucklike that. The Bulletholes (to me) gives the truck character and reminds me of a guitar I saw on a tv show once.

Looks like a 1946-8 M5 1/2-Ton.

I think that is correct. This particular modle was made from1941-1948 with production being stopped in the war years. My best guess would be 1947.

Amazing indeed - are those gun shots in the windshield? However, looks like this old buddy had definitely a hard time - but it got character notwithstanding!

they are most likely shots from a rifle. I suppose someone was using it for target practice.

And if the truck didn't look tough enough it also has a bent up bumper to boot! Nice shot!

It all kind of makes me wonder what the story was about this old girl.

Boo Yaaaaa! That's the ticket! Look! It has a flatbed on it--a perfect platform for just about anything. I think you did a great job with this shot Wayne. It's in it's natural habitat and the old thresher is a perfect compliment to the old truck.

thanks John,

the lighting was not great, and there were many challenges, it is good to see that some one appreciates the challenge in this kind of work

I guess someone needed a LARGE object for target practice. Must have been a poor shot.

So naturally you dragged it home with you to take some better shots ...
Which explains why you are now sleeping in the garage.

The light is pretty darn "flat" I'd say.
