Both of these two have been manipulated by the main antagonists of their respective series, both have or have used power that didnβt originally belong to them and said power came from a sentient object/person. Additionally both are sadistic to a fault.RWBY belongs to Rooster Teeth

Yeah, they both had potential to be better (Infinite definitely, his superiority complex was a lame backstory. Would've been better if he was pissed that his comrades were killed by Shadow)

Antagonists and Villains can be two different things sometimes. Antagonists can have likeability and relatability and sometimes can be seen as somewhat justified, they just oppose the protagonist. Simple Villains just kill and hurt people just for shiz and giggles.
