Critique is supposed to be like constructive criticism, right? Well man I really really sorry but I don't have a damn thing. You did such an amazing job on everything in this animation. I love everything about it. Believe it or not, my room is decorated like a sunken ship! I swear it is!. Thats why your picture caught my attention. I have ship wheels, anchors, a wall mount of a pirate ship ect. XD
I'd have to say that the only bad thing I found with your picture is that it made me fell like crap about my animated emotes. I just started making them, but still. lol I felt real good about them till I saw yours and now I think I will take up knitting instead. hahaha jk But your art is absolutely amazing!

I got a couple of messages from people who kind of misunderstood my comment. So to set the record straight, 1. I found absolutely NOTHING wrong with the animation, I was just making a point. And #2, The phrase "dead on" means perfect, 100%, bulls eye ect. It was a compliment. I wasn't saying that the colors, bubbles, ship ect. were bad.

I can't really say you did anything bad, because every aspect of this is amazing. I really like the colors you used to differ the background, the coral and the fish itself. You also did very good lighting. The animation was very smooth and you even animated the little things that really make difference like the worm and bubbles. I guess if you wanted to make it even better, you could animated the coral and water, but that's unnecessary. The idea itself was pretty normal, fish getting fished in a choral reef, but I really like the way you did it. Just like a real aquarium!

As much I am convinced that critique is supposed to be helpful in a way that it should point out the negative sides in a piece, I am having a very hard time with finding anything wrong with this work.
The colours are well chosen, bright and thus creating a nice coral reef atmosphere but at the same time not too saturated and oppressing.
The animation is fluent and the water bubbles add a certain touch to make it even more interesting.
What I like especially much is the little sunken ship in the background. It's a simple but very effective way to create some depth in the otherwise rather flat reef.
Choosing to frame the work with the algae/wood/(whatever it's really supposed to be) was a nice touch in order to smoothen the edges a little.

Hahahaha, lol! This is very well animated. I'm liking the whole design of the scene, so many subtle details and variation, the way the light is coming down and the bubbles gloat up, and the ship in the background which I didn't even see at first glance but felt it add to the atmosphere. It's great the way the fish takes the hook and is pulled up, and the way the hook comes back down. The only thing that might have been interesting to try would have been if the fish went down, not up, after taking the hook, dragging tension on the line as he tries to dive down. Just saying that would be interesting to try, not saying it needs it. Looks awesome!
