Description I just travelled into the heart of one of my orchids with my camera! These flowers are so beautifull!!! The macro lens gives you a chance to have a very close look at the wonderful heart of orchids. I took many pictures, but sorted out these four pictures to add on my DA site. I hope you'll have a nice trip too!!

This photo makes me even hungrier for a systemcamera and a macrolens!!!

It's great to have a good camera and a macrolens, but this picture wasn't taken with my Canon 30D and macro lens, only with my small Canon Digital Ixus 50, which I always carry with me in my handbag!
I love to take close-ups of details!
What camera do you use?

Oh, I have an Olympus SP-550UZ. I've found it quite good for close-ups, but not so impressive on landscapes or animals (it's quite slow and animals seldom sitt still...).

He, you're online too! From what I've seen in your gallery, I also love your macro's, but also the rocky pictures you made at the North See.
I like the flower macro's I took with my small camera, but I like the other pictures (landscapes etc) I took with my DSLR. More details and nicer colours. And I love to expeciment with my macro lens and tele lens. Would love to have a wide angle lens for landscapes. Maybe in future.
I just started to take portraits in my small 'studio'. So nice to do too!

..."in my small studio"... oh what fun it would be to be able to have a small studio somewhere at home! I've used the greenhouse the last week, but it's far too much light when it's sunny, and also unnecessarily swetty there. Maybe I'll rearrange the guestroom in the future!

My kids don't live in our house anymore (23 and 27 years old) and now we've got 2 spare rooms!
I've always wanted to have my own library. And 3 years ago, when our daughter started to live on her own, I changed her room into my 'library' and put a nice and comfortable chair in it and a writing desk. Last November I bought myself 2 (not to expensive) studio lights (with umrealla and soft box) and now my library is a studio too!! Especially when it's raining outside it's so nice to take pictures there. I'm helping 6 teenagers with their schoolwork and they all love to be a model for me.
So I think I'm very lucky! I started to take indoor pictures with 2 building lights. But now that I've got this soft box there are so many more possibility's.

A very nice series. You don't see all this beauty without getting in this close.

Thank you. I love the macro possibility of my camera. But for these pictures I used a magnifying-glass too (picture of it in my Scraps). With only my camera I cannot get so close to the heart of the flower. Found the lens in a drawer. And then experienced with it (have to hold it against my camera lens with one hand). But it works! I'm glad I found the magnifying-glass.
