This was drawn for the Third Rail Design Lab's weekly Illustration Jam where we were asked to redesign Superman.8.5x11 inch
Watercolor on Paper.
Not the tightest sketch, It was done quickly between customers while at work.

Yeah, either would work. I was just trying to make somthing that had the basic familiarity with subtle changes

Looks a lot like Kal-L in a costume designed for Superman Prime.

I guess it could almost be a Supboy Prime costume, just because of the collar. I was thinking sleeveless jacket with the cape.

Between the collar, the weird panels on the hips, and the weird shoulder straps for the cape... It's just not iconic enough.
Definitely AU superman material, though.

The color and shoulder straps were part of the cape. Like it was some kind of Kryptonian style jacket or something. The panels were just seams to add a bit of movement. You should check out thirdraildesignlab as written, on here. There are a number of sifferent versions there. It is who it was done for.
