Sam Manson from Danny Phantom with the Fenton Thermos. I've wanted to draw Sam for a while now but wasn't able to get to it with the Holidays and all. I love the show so I hope to do a sketch of Jazz and Maddy Fenton soon.Related content

I was loocking for some paints abpur Danny Phantom to just, you know, remember the good old times, when I saw this, THIS. I print this draw about... seven years ago, I didn't understand what DA was or even about fandoms, but I shared this with my friend and I still have the printed and I just want you to know that I loved, and love, your draw, and it gets me a lot of good memories

Hi, Thank you so much. This message really took me by surprise.Β That pic of Sam was one of the first things that i drew after a very long period of not doing any art of any kind. The kind words that I got for this drawing helped me to see that there was some worth in these little scribbles I make. All of those wonderful commentsΒ kept me at the drawing board for a number of years. Unfortunately, I slipped and I hadn't drawn anything in last two years. Thankfully, that ended about a week ago whenΒ I posted my first drawing in eons. Your kind words have really touched me. While I knew people enjoyed some of myΒ drawings I never guessed that anyone would have fond memories associated with them. Thank you for contacting me after all this time. So Anya, you've found my little secret. Yes, this pic is very popular here at DA. It is by far the most popular pic I have ever drawn. Hardly a day goes by at DA that somebody doesn't fave it. And believe me, I am grateful. It is the conduit to everything I've accomplished here. Almost every watcher I have, first discovers this pic. If someone comes to my home page it's because they saw Sam. This pic was faved almost 800 times and my next closest pic stands at 186. Now, it being one of the first pics they come across, it is almost a sure thing that it will be faved. I realize that the drawing's popularity is mostly due to the crazy love that fans have for this show. The cartoon and character are so popular that fans are still doing searches everyday for Sam Manson. I am benefiting everyday from it's fandamonium.
I just reread what I just wrote and I'm not sure that it doesn't sound like I'm bitter or something. Believe me I'm not. I love this pic. This was the first drawing I ever did in the style that I draw in now. I hadn't drawn in years and didn't really plan on starting again. I drew Sam on a whim and have been trying to match the style ever since. Sam has done alot for me and i love this goofy little scribble for all that it does. So thank you for noticing Sam. I know that as long as she stays popular I will have a presence here at DA. And I know that if people want to watch me, I will have the desire to draw the next pic that will hopefully someday match her popularity.

Its perfectly understandable to have mixed feelings about a certain piece that steals the show for the rest of the pieces yet it keeps bringing new people in.

No prob. Yeah, I love comments, but I don't get too many of them. I saw that picture the day I first actually looked at my stats and saw I didn't even average one comment per day. And my friend Jacie (I cannot remember his DA name) had just gotten me obsessed with DP. And I am going to stop ranting now. It was so weird to have you call me Abby; even though I put it on all my comments and reviews (on fanfiction) I don't get called that a lot. Love ya!

Hi Jamie, Sorry it took so long to get back to you. Thank you so much. I'm glad you like Sam. She's been very good to me over the few years I've been on DA. Even though I have about a hundred deviations, Sam here receives about 80% of the comments I get. I'm not complaining mind you. Most of the people that watch me do so because of this pic. Hopefully the moderators will never ban this pic (they've banned a few other ones for silly reasons). If they do, I will most likely become invisible here at DA.
I took a long look at your gallery. It is really full of some great stuff. You have some amazing face studies. To take so many different characters and render them in your style was impressive. Everyone was great. Wow, and are you prolific or what. I wish I had the discipline to sit down and draw as much as you. I am currently in a bit of a slump to say the least. This was my first new drawing that I ever posted here at DA and the first that I ever drew in this style. Sam has been very good to me over the past few years. Hi D, Yes, Sam is my Mona Lisa. It is the reason I have anybody watching me. She is by far my most faved and viewed pic. If you checked out my gallery you would see that I have this pic posted twice. Between the two, they account for 4937 of my 8598 page views. Hardly a day will go by that I don't get a fave or comment for it. And, while I really like the pic and do think it came out very well, I realize that the real reason anyone looks at it is because Sam is about the most popular fanart at DA. I can't think of any cartoon that is even near as popular except maybe Naruto. That Sakura babe gets alot of love around her.

You pulled off using the disconnected pony tail like in her default design in your own style extremely well.
