Something needed to be said. I've noticed a lot of copy-cats of *shaloneSK 's characters/designs appearing on here. It's one thing to use Shalone's design for adult Spyro because you just love it, but to steal Zonoya's design, even by a little, is just down right shameful. It's damaging to the artist, because she, and everyone who has original characters, bust their asses with the designs, and here lazy people go plucking those designs away. Creating orignal names isnt easy either >
It truly hurts the artists' feelings.If you respect the artist, give credit to them, even better, DONT COPY!

I understand popular artists tend to get ripped off on a daily basis, though for those new to art and trying to be original, they tend to admire the artist and their designs and try to use them for their own. Most of the time, it's a phase and they learn it's not a good idea to be like someone else, and some just go with it. For those who go with it, need a good smack, because using a design as a loose reference is different than completely ripping off the character for their own amusement.
I used to do the same thing to an artist I liked back when I was a young teenager. I grew out of it. It's okay to have a loose ref of someone's character, but don't think it's okay to keep using that loose ref. Originality is so much better!

the ONLY thing I "used" from her deigns was adult spyro's horns and sub horns. rest? its YOUR OCs! so you have to design them by your own (its actually fine to see other designs as references. but copy-pasting them onto your OCs ia something else

I never steal designs, those who do can actually be fined or go to jail even.
I personally, would kick someones ass if they stole my art.. I would actually go to their house and kick their ass. But I would need their IP address or house address before I could. xD

True..I've seen some copied arts as well ...gets very irritating...I mean I've used Shalone's design for Adult Spyro but I gave full credit to her...it takes talent to be original..I have an OC that I thought up of and I didn't know of her comic at the time...now I read it...(I'm a big fan of it) and I'm trying to distance my characters from hers..so people don't think I just ripped her off...also ya know what's weird? The Lion King 2 also inspired me to write a sequel to my Spyro film! This is a really good stamp but I feel like I've seen it before somewhere....

That's just low. Art theft/stealing of any kind is low. When I look at an OC, I want to see that effort and creativity was put into it, not that it is a ripoff of someone's design. And you are also right that it hurts the artist's feelings; if someone stole my work, I would truly feel sad.
Do you think you can provide me with links to these clones, or have they been deleted already?

I don't remember the artist, but I did see one person running around here with a comic including Zonoya wearing human-clothes, and running around a convenience store with--The giant purple dragon, I just blanked on his name.
I'm not shitting nor trolling you. I'm dead serious.
