You guys want to know something? In regards to the new Super Smash, I'm probably one of the very few Mewtwo fans who would have enjoyed to game even if the developers weren't going to add him to the roster. I'll admit when told me that he would be coming back, I went nuts. Even though you had to own both versions of the game in order to get him (not to mention he's free), that was still more than enough hype me up even more than before. As for why I would have liked the game without him, I like to imagine one little scenario: what if Mewtwo didn't want to return? What if he wanted spend the rest of his days enjoying life from a peaceful standpoint instead of going through each day on the battlefield? Or maybe he didn't like how his powers were severely downgraded for the sake of being fair to the other fighters?

That would have been my reason as to why he didn't return, but he is... or is he?

The high demand for him to return to Super Smash at first made him angry, until another much younger Mewtwo comes up and offers to take his place. This new guy isn't only prepared for the challenges that lie ahead (not just his downgraded powers), but he has the capabilities of mega evolving. That alone is more than perfect for the next game, seeing how two other pokemon fighters can do the same. The old Mewtwo instantly agrees and says that there might be a good chance that he'll come and watch him from the sidelines and maybe help him out a bit.

I know that sounds silly because Mewtwo was made for combat and he's a fictional character, but that's just something I like to imagine, you know? Besides, he's a living thing with the same mental and emotional capabilities as any other living thing but stronger. With that in mind, he chooses the way he lives his life, whether on the battlefield or in peace. The same can be said for the new guy: he too can think and feel, and he has chosen to to get his hands a little dirty just as an excuse to have fun.
