somehow i dont think he came out exactly as i wanted, but im still happy i got to draw a character with a bigger body type. XD

I like it. I see a big, grizzled fellow that has obtained power and knows exactly how he plans to use it. I also enjoy the small-head-big-body technique: makes him look just that much meaner. Great concept with fantastic execution.

First things first. It certainly fits into your other Anima-Works. I mean this "large clean areas with some high-detail-attachements"-style.
Reminds me of this guy [link] in terms of clean and detailed parts.
I think the difference between the highlightet gloves and the boots/arms is a little to much. Should be closer lightingwise.
The crystals look too much like "just put em in somehow ... who cares" to me. Could be more "technical/functional" esp. on the front foot.
Is this Anima-style your main style now? Maybe you should give it a try to "blend" the clean and fine-textured areas more and experiment a bit with your lighting. To my uneducated mind it looks like there is another great style, still sleeping in your pics.
Many of your anima works are a bit "confusing" for the eye. First you think its the details, but if you take your time it seems to be sth. else. Personally i think its sth. about the lights.

not much "microtextures" there, but still my eyes wont find rest with this one. E.g. his right arm nearly merges with his upper body in terms of light. It almost looks as if this was a clean render that got shaded in 2D on top of the whole image. (well, in some way thats true I suppose) F.e. the wrinkles on his clothes look like the do not follow the rules of his pants or jacket but some higher layer of shading.
Ok,enough blabla ... still awesome work you got there. Keep it up!

hmm... friends art isnt my style.... but it looks like the joints are powered by the crystals though one leg doesnt have one

The way he is standing, you wouldn't see the crystal on that leg. If you pay attention to the perspective, you'll notice, the front foot is turned, so if the other one was turned to give a view, more from the toes, you could prolly notice.

hmm.... the hands aren't as great as they could be, at least in terms of position... His 'claw' grip on the one hand is usettling. A closed fist would be more pleasing to the eye.

He has a very kenpachi (bleach char) look to him. Still good though maybe your subconscious leaked through in this piece hence why it wasnt quite what you wanted

Though I do like the design, I do see some problems with the spikes on his elbows. It seems there's confusion as to placement on them in the pic. Perhaps that's why it didn't come out as you had intended. Still though, awsome concept.^_^ And other than that, the rest appears perfect to me.
