Hmm..The color choice is exceptional as usual and for this one i noticed you seemed to make it a point to make the face better than usual which seems to be the part of the human anatomy you have most problems with from what iv seen in your work so far which is understandable. (Not that i'm in any way suited to pick out your flaws considering you do this for a living.)To make a good face is extremely hard but this one turned out very nice you are improving if that is all possible. Nicely done Wen im excited to see your work in another year or so. By then your work will be flawless. I'll be watching you as usual keep em flowing.

Still water? perhaps. OR perhaps this is a snapshot of the moment RIGHT when he jumped onto the stick, and the ripples haven't had a chance to spread out?
Still water isn't necessarily clean. It could be cloudy with algae growth, and hence, opaque. or it could be concentrated with some sort of mineral from the sacred forest soil.
These are both speculation of course. I thougth it would be nice to contribute to the other ideas buzzing in the forum.

The feet seem melded together, and there should be larger ripples around him, also I've noticed that in lakes that tend to stay still have really clear waters and you can see the animals that lie within them. Also yer elbow is too low for such an old man . . . even if he is fit.
