Only one thing I can critique on here. Paine's eyes look a bit too small. Though, that might just be your style. I don't know. Either way, it's a really great work of art.

Ahh, the battle that was expected. If you think about it, of course she'd be the one most desperate to fight him. Look what he did to her squad and her friends. Don't get me wrong; I love Shuyin *oggles his prettiness*, but he did so much that hurt Paine, and even during X-2, he still caused her grief, so she definitely wanted vengeance. Indeed, there was hell to pay.
Would've loved to see an actual cutscene of a fight between them...

Wonderful drawing.
Shuyin's my favorite Final Fantasy villain- he may not be super powerful, like most. But, unlike most of the others, he has heart. Passion. He's the most human main villain they've had.

I so don't want to fight Vengagun It's going to be a timed boss fight by the time you get to the head..

Very nicely inked and colored. I absolutely love the background. Putting Paine's lower half out of focus was very nice.
My dislike is how the pose seems...well...posed. I dont feel any tension in the situation. The way the sword is swinging, it feels very casual, no aggression. Paine looks like she is concentrating more on holding the sword than the actual battle. And generally speaking, you want to block with the side of a sword, not the edge.
