I was watching Hex on BBC and looking at Elandria's stock, and this is what come out of that... It was supposed to be spooky, but the colors totally betrayed me and instead the picture looks light and airy.Many thanks to Elandria and her stock photographs! [link]

I consider this awesome, beautiful an lovely. And this looks like a perfect concept of a character, or what else this was supposed to be.
When people see a barefoot girl, wearing flowing dress and looking pretty, they sometimes misconcept.
I see that people suppose that barefoot means innocent and pure.
But look at this girl! She is difenetely NOT innocent! Just look at her face expression! She is far from being innocent.
She is attractive, of course. But she can be impure, evil,Β treacherous or even murderous. And still not wearing shoes.

I got the spooky right off! What's a pretty sweet looking girl holding a dagger on a fine summer day?
I must admit, I was heavily swayed to ask if I could use her as a profile image of one of my rpg characters since she reminded me so much of her. *blush*

I dunno, looks kinda spooky to me. It comes off as light and airy at first, but once you notice she's hold a dagger, and the expression on her face, and the way the sky turns grey behind her... Brrr, I'm going somewhere else before she notices me and decides that whoever she's waiting for isn't worth it and I look fun to practice whatever it is she's planning on. (backs away slowly)

I like the contrast between the light airy colors and her menacing expression. It makes me think there is much more to this person than meets the eye. Perhaps she's a spy or an assassin? People always depict assassins as tough and armed to the teeth, but I think this would be a more likely depiction, because why would an assassin want to advertise her profession? If you're hired to kill someone, all you need is one good sharp knife!

In the context of Hex, which I was watching while painting this, I'd say that she is probably similar to one of the main characters: a person who is generally good, but who is being slowly seduced by evil.

Interesting. I've never watched Hex before. I have a hard time watching a TV series faithfully- while it's on TV! When it hits DVD- that's when I like to watch it. It's all about control. The only TV series I watched faithfully while it was on TV was Firefly.

Agreed! I watch most of my "tv" through the computer or on DVD. The times that stations air programs is never convenient to me.
Hex was odd, and it took me a couple episodes to really get into the story. I mostly stuck by it, in the beginning, because the male lead is so absolutely delicious. The second season was so different from the first that it may have well been a separate series--it didn't even have the same lead characters (heh, though I must say, the 2nd male lead was the son of the first, and was just as yummy).
