You know, this shouldn't come as a surprise when I tell you that Egyptians used to worship crocodiles due to a powerful deity. Because really, what animal WASN'T worshipped in Egypt? But then again, aside from cats, no animal was given a city dedicated to them just because they like the big reptiles so much.
