Description
Full title: Sir Horace Hugo Hughes, Head Guard of Driftveil
Age: 47
History:
A head-guard of Driftveil like his father was before him. He and his children, Eric and Melissa, make/made their family money from being guards and hunting+selling game. He has seen a good few battles, but never participated in the war with Nordbor. Being Head Guard is a position of authority, but not a fantastic position for pay. He did however, marry a nobleman's daughter and that raised his social standing as he joined a more wealthy family than his own.
Personality:
He is incredibly trustworthy, but he himself trusts hardly anybody (he sends Squawk to spy on people sometimes, even his family). You can bet your life on him, but he will never do the same in return. He and his wife did their best raising their children to be good citizens with an iron-fist parenting style. He is quite strict and has high standards for his children.
Misc:
-Not only is his first and last name 6 letters each, so are all of his pokemon's names (it is really just a coincidence)
-He can fight with a broadsword, axe, or a hunting knife.
Pokemon:
Gotham the Bisharp:
One of Horace's oldest pokemon, he helps Horace protect Driftveil while on guard duty and runs down wild game for Horace when hunting. He helped train Horace's children by sparring with them. He takes everything quite seriously. Also, he can speak, but he feels most humans don't make for good conversations, so he regularly stays mute (only speaking to other pokemon, of course).
Squawk the Archen:
He is Horace's mail-carrier, spy, and look-out. He has been purposely kept from evolving so he can keep fulfilling those roles. He speaks using Uproar, however, it's not exactly good speech as he sounds like a weird parrot, but it's enough to relay some verbal messages.
Brutus the Rhydon:
Brutus is Horace's mount. He has orbs at the tips of his horns while not in a combat scenario so he doesn't hurt anyone too easily. He is reliable and loves smashing things. The family usually uses him for pulling carts and supplies when going to sell and buy goods at the market.
Morris the Krookodile:
Named after one of Horace's good friends from his more youthful years. Many years ago, Morris was a wild Krokorok when Horace befriended him, but he let him stay in the wild, but still going out to feed him every few weeks. Horace only seeks out his help when he needs the extra muscle.
Horace's children, Eric and Melissa:
Horace's wife: Cynthia:
His son, Eric, is my competitor for this tournament.
