Day 12 of Batman a Day--31 days in March...My earliest memory of Frank Miller on Batman was maybe 8 or 9 years old--I somehow had 50 bucks to buy this super duper hard cover that had Batman Year 1 and Dark Knight Returns in it...I read it 2 or 3 times in a row loving every moment of it. I read both of those stories last year and not only do they hold up but they surpass so much of what happens in comics today...I remember getting a huge kick out of the nazi naked woman (hey, don't judge, I was only 9 years old)...
Bulky old Batman! Spunky young female Robin!

I think it looks great, the detail in the clothing wrinkles and shadows is just right, a lot of people go too far wit that. I would say the only flaw is that the Bat Symbol on the chest is a little uneven, but the overall quality of the art surpasses that.
Also, at first I thought his sleeves were really short and loose and his bare hands were out! But I saw wrong, so that's my fault. All's well.
