This is a drawing I did a couple years ago of Gohan battling my character, Caule. I'd been holding off on submitting this one for a while, since I wanted to wait until I had more images of Caule and the Galactic Nomads, but due to time and a poor attention span, I fear that if I don't upload this soon, it'll just gather figurative dust in my hard drive.

A little background: This picture takes place in an alternate timeline story I came up with that's set about 3 years after the Cell Games. A group of mysterious alien mercenaries known as the Galactic Nomads arrive on Earth looking for the Dragon Balls (because why else would anyone visit Earth); the group is led by another Saiyan survivor known as Tebla, who wants the Dragon Balls for some unknown reason. Eventually, the story culminates in a battle between Gohan and Tebla's half-Saiyan daughter Caule, who like Gohan has near limitless potential and can access the fullest power of Super Saiyan: Super Saiyan 2).

This scene takes place about halfway through their battle: both have unleashed their full power and the fight has devolved into a full-on slugfest, ki blasts and special techniques forgotten as they focus solely on knocking each other out. I had initially planned to put a lot of damage on the two of them, but at the time I didn't know how to not make it look terrible, so I scrapped it for the time being.

I've got mixed feelings on this one: On the one hand, I've improved a lot in my drawing skills (I think) and hate looking back and seeing how bad I am at drawing action poses like in here; On the other hand, this was one of my very first attempts at drawing an action scene, and I'm still proud of how it turned out, warts and all.
