Description
A few sketches of everyone's favourite Blue Hedgehog... except he's grey here as I used pencil... hmm.The blue bits are supposed to be some kind of kinetic energy generated by Sonic himself, and re-channelled through the knuckles on those combat gloves - the idea being to improve his punching power. Not sure why, maybe he's in a fighting tournament or something.

I like the interesting add ons you gave to Sonic. The details are simply wonderful through out the entire piece. And the blue energy breaks up the gray tones of the pencil really well.

Sorry, didn't mean to cause offense there, I call everyone fella, dude, guy, or various man-names like chuck, dudley, Bert etc... don't really think about it until someone points it out. Perhaps it's a statement on the increasing androgynity of the headstrong, aggressive females, and metrosexual males that form our modern society.
Or perhaps it's just that I'm wierd

Thanks Jo! It's fun to draw Sonic characters in dynamic poses, they're stringy arms means you don't have to worry about muscles or bone structure

I really like the design, especially the strands of fabric from his gloves. It gives him some odd grace while he puches faces in with his all powerful gloves. Great shading too~

Thank you, yeah, they were a last minute addition, but I really like how they look - gives the character a sense of movement without having to add messy 'motion lines'
