Heh, just found this comment.
Nevermind how long it takes to accomplish... it kills pens like a three year old with a fresh pack of Sharpies and a blank wall. D:
Oh his spots look nice here. I have trouble blending the dappled-ness of his horsey parts and the snow leopard spots when he's in colour. Grrr. Colour... my arch-nemesis!

Wha? I never though you were crap at coloring. Where is this coming from?

*chuckles* You ask me as if you haven't done five million times more art than I have. My best suggestion would be to take a few paintings whose coloring you really like and try to reproduce them.
Hmmm But I do see your point when you put it that way. Your black and white work is so strong that unless you're equally strong in coloring, you'll always think 'I could have done that better without color.'

You stipple! OMG I'm in awe. This reminds of some of Virgil Finlay's early works.
I love the contrast in light and dark and the way it was achieved GOD! I wish I had that patience. I think stippling is one of the most visually impressive ways of shading ever.
The black horses hair is also great. The more illustrative and graphic swirl of mane really adds visual oomph!

Dots! @.@ The contrast of texture here is a delight to behold. The grey has so much form in contrast to the elegant silhouette of the black winged mare. Its another awesome black & white that drives me to distraction @.@
