I love the pre raphaelites too That's too bad about your painting being lost...I know the feeling, I have had paintings get lost in the mail. It makes me sad knowing that my artwork is out there somewhere and I have no idea who has it or if it even still exists!!

You are so lucky...the closest I ever got to seeing a pre raphaelite piece of art in person was at the National Art Gallery when a Burne Jones exhibit came through town. They were mostly drawings and stained glass cartoons...but still lovely.

Ohh
when you see those paintings in person its so different to viewing them in a book or on the computer...you see all the textures and fine detail, I saw the painting of the lady of shallot where shes in her tower with all the sewing and her hair is elevated, the most beautiful thing Ive ever seen, and so large I wonder how those artists done it >.<

Is this a poem or short story or novel? A sea nymph, or should I say pond nymph? I'm loving how you use green often .

One of my favorite paintings is Hylas and the Nymphs....so I decided to do my own version. Similar to the original but different.

Ah, thanks for the education . I looked up the original image and I can see why you like it so much . Here is a fan version on it here if you'd like to see it: [link]

Thanks for sending me the link...I have seen others try to copy that painting as well but nobody can bring out the emotion like Waterhouse can I look at all those nymph's faces and can tell what they are thinking....I love it

Yasvmw . Yeah, and the coloring style as well as a few poses are different enough to know it's their art. Lol glad you love it .
