Hi! I found this in !
I really like how cute you made Leafeon, really nice ^.^ I also like how elaborate you background is, I wonder if you used any texture to make it? The sparkly colors give the picture a lovely touch and fit Leafeon really well. Now here are the things you can improve on. I really miss the fur details from Leafon, I don't know why didn't you add texture since you have worked on so much on the background (at least it seems to me). The main focus should be on the pokemon so I feel you could have worked on it more. The other thing is that the background and the foreground does not have enough contrast and the leaves in the foreground blend in so much that I barely noticed they are there. They should have been painted with a very dark green that looks almost black but not black of course. Some additional colors, like red would have been good for the details, like you could paint a few red flowers here and there, it would look good You could refine the anatomy a bit, but it is not bad, just not precise here and there. I like the dinamism in this picture though, you did well with drawing the movement I hope this comment is useful for you, keep practicing

I spent the most time on the background, you're right. I actually didn't use any textures, just things that were pre-loaded with SAI when editing brushes! I think I was tired by the time I got to leafeon, but I think I'll have to teach myself to ride to the end. I was wondering how to make my foregrounds better, thank you! I'll try out the darker colors in the front and adding a bit more variety into the background... I definitely could be better at anatomy, I don't think I used a ref for this painting... I probably should. I'm so glad that it is dynamic, that is a big deal to me.Β
This helps me immensely, thank you!!

This looks amazing! What would make it even better is that it is looking after a butterfree of some sort and chasing it, but this is just adorable! I love how the different shades of green blend into each other, making the leaves looks like healthy plants on its body. Keep up the amazing work!

Surprisingly, no! My favorite is actually Espeon, but Leafeon is in second. But being one place behind means nothing in the list of perfection, haha.Β

Vaporeon is a good choice! They are like scaled cats, to me at least. Some people think they are little slime cats. Glaceon is a really nice design, its a shame it isn't drawn much.Β

This reminds me a lot of Dr. Seuss's artwork, but with a much more "natural" look to it - which is not a criticism at all! I'd like to know what this strange creature is and why it is apparently part animal and part plant. It certainly looks interesting! Where is this scene happening?

Yeah, my art does kinda have that feel to it! I'm not sure why, but I like it. ^^ Its actually called a Leafeon, and it is a pokemon! The background is based on where I live. We have plenty of grassy, shaded areas with lots of bushes!

Amazing!
But you could have made it a little slimmer around the neck area. But seriously, great work!

I actually draw a sketch and then fill it out with a base color, and then begin the shading and markings. After I have all of the markings, I usually delete the sketch. ^^
