A flick of the bushy tail behind him and he had dusted off the finest of the layers of snow from a nearby plant, investigating its leaves. They did not seem like ones that the medicine den had, so it was likely they were of no medical use, regardless, their vivid green even among the white snow was rather enchanting...ah, there were the telltale berries. Such a bright red, like droplets of blood that had solidified as decoration placed by the spirits...perhaps as a reminder about the vastness of the world, the vastness of their power, when mere mortals walked with blood that could be shed at any time.

These holly berries, he could recall being taught not to eat them, with their poisonous attribute just as poignant as their beauty. But that did not stop him from pausing to draw them in, appreciating the delicate curvature of their design, the way they so strongly contrasted the prickling leaves that surrounded them.

“-‘ey! Wha’ are yah doin’ starin’ at plants?” Stiff limbed with a low head the tom slipped further into view, amber eyes darting between the other tom and the plant. Hopefully this one wasn’t trying to talk to the plants- he still needed to tell Shadowtalon about that rouge. Maybe it’d eaten something that could affect the rest of them- off topic.

Blue eyes widened, flickering over at the sound of approaching pawsteps, a thick tone that caught his ear. Not flinching, looking purely curious, he turned, framed by the holly bush he had been so engrossed in, maw parting to draw in the cat's scent, curling up in a gentle smile. "Hello stranger, what brings you here?" he purred softly, then laughed lightly, "I am not staring at it for any reason other than to admire its placement and beauty here."

"Yah shouldn' jus' stare at the plant life- somebody could sneak up on you..." Carefully the male danced around the topic as to why he was there. That wouldn't be important in time.

Feeling the fiery gaze upon his pelt, liquid sapphire shifted to meet it, the power of fire and water hissing together in their matched gazes, one full of confusion, a smoky haze of thoughts and emotions, the other full of innocent curiosity, a flicker of concern. Dark ears curved forward and he let out a gentle chuckle, "I am still aware of my surroundings, you need not fear for me, stranger," he said gently, "I heard you, after all," a gentle flick of his bushy tail accompanied with another barely audible laugh, and then the warrior was padding forward slightly, tilting his head inquisitively.

"You do not smell like a Clan cat...are you new around here? A rogue? Or perhaps..." he blinked thoughtfully, "Perhaps you are one of the elusive shadows we have heard such tales of."
