This is a very eye-catching painting, though I just looked up the paradise flycatcher, and it's clear that you took some artistic license with it. But that's okay, since everything in the image looks nice anyway, so it is clear that you do understand the anatomy of this bird. I guess that this is a young flycatcher, because its head is huge, and the big eyes make it look younger. It makes it look cute.
I am fond of the detail which you put onto the bird's wing feathers. It makes it look like they are made out of some fancy fabric, like that which makes up a curtain, or an expensive piece of clothing. So the bird must be really warm and comfortable.
And I think it is very cool that you chose to depict the much rarer coloration, as I think this color scheme is easier on the eyes and results in a nicer product. After all, even though I don't know anything about this species, all I had to do was look at its shape to tell that it's closely related to jays and kingfishers, and they too have deeper, cooler plumage than certain birds.
