Nice, though, to be honest, I ship Madame Medusa with McLeach from the Sequel to The Rescuers.

He’s Jason’s step dad. I haven’t forgotten about him.
Just seemed the type who didn’t want to have strings attached and settle down. Might get in the way. Plus he got dooped by mice and a kid.

Thanks
That was the intent, since the concept I feel can work but it needs to be turned in a much different direction.
Save the hero kids for much much later. Focus on life as a villain kid and how their families are. Yes they are villains, but I doubt all will abuse their kids. Not perfect, but that's what makes it interesting. Not all should act like Miss Hanigan.

Hey, Julia. I can understand why you don't like Descendants. And as much as I love the idea of Fairy Tale/Disney characters having kids, I only have 1 problem with Descendants. Most of the VK's shouldn't exist. Why? Because their mother/father is DEAD!

Exactly, I feel there can be interesting plots between parent and child if we at least an explanation. Hell, even have some around. It would paint certain dynamics to how they choose to parent.
Frollo's for example, he loves his daughter-- seeing as she's the last gift his wife Juliana gave him before she died. And seeing as he's lost his son, brother, and parents, that makes him incredibly protective of his daughter. Her horse riding accident left him paranoid something else will come and finish the job. He'll give her almost anything she requests and refrains from putting high expectations on her now that she's crippled.

Those sure are some great fan children that you made, Julia. Great Job! Plus, you managed to make interesting and clever biographies for each one of them.

Thanks. I’m making another batch — just need two more official designs. One for Maleficent’s son and Helga/Clayton’s son.

It's so sweet (yet so ironic) that Renee and Seth are boyfriend and girlfriend ^w^

I love Betty and Marie (and her name is so iconic!) and Seth is really good, so long as you do not look under the mask. And there is our dear Renee...she has something that sets her apart from the other villain kids. A kind of elegance and refinement. Agnes really was a surprise there, but she is nice.
I do like Descendants, but I don't quite care for their naming system to an extent.
My main issue with Descendants is that it sets a sharply define line between good and evil and that is not true at all. The world is black and white, but also contains many shades of gray.

I'm thrilled so many love Betty Slim. I'm not a fan of her dad, but I figured she'd want to prove herself to be far better.
I wasn't a fan of the casting and the way it was written. The names seem too on the nose and don't help make the spawn stand out as characters and not just shadows of their parents painted good. Not a fan of the designs either, they bugged me.
--- Also how the hell did Frollo get de-ranked into making Crapes for a living?
Wasn't the biggest fan to how the hero kids were handled either. Too stock character styled for my liking.

I actually watched the movie last Friday and...it is rather unremarkable. But Miss Betty here has potential and I would love further elaboration on her and Shey’s relationship.
I must confess...I only read the novels by Melissa De La Cruz. I have not seen either movie, though I have watched pieces of Wicked World...it is an eye-roll fest. But what you said is exactly how I feel, plus you have the villains in the slums, living in poverty with barely any good food or clothing...you really think they are going to change their ways?
Indeed, especially Cinderella's son...how can such a kind person have a kid who is utterly selfish and vain?

Aye, I watched the review on Musical Hell to get he dad refreshed in my head. Yeah, It's not a good film. I Question how it got green lit when Disney was trying to catch up to Dreamworks and Pixar.
Nope.
Aye, I've got issues with it.
For sure-- Like I can get Aurora's kid being a b***h to Mal for family history and all. But that's sort of the probelms in subversion. When you paint the bad guys in a good light the heros look bad. etc. Which is why for Spawn I want to keep it in the villain universe for now where they all live in their world of "harmony". It's still a dog eat dog world in their realm, but that's how it is for foes. Until other forces want to take the kids away or corrupt them by the light.

They probably would have better luck if they released some new shorts. I know they did of the ones that did not make Fantasia 2000, Lorenzo and some others. Have you ever heard of the Silly Symphonies? They might have been old and had some...glaring faults, but they were also pretty good. I love Music Land, The Cookie Carnival, Egyptian Melodies, Hells Bells...and some other ones.
One of my favorite movies growing up and of course I would forget it. Figures.
Have you read this one series of books? They are by somebody Valentino and feature the villains of the Disney films but gives more back story. Like for Snow White it showed how Grimhilde was the daughter of a mirror maker who got trapped in the magic mirror and she learned how to control him and make him give her validation (which started her being obsessed with beauty).
It is good! But...well, it has gotten to that point of weird randomness. Like you have your actual story, but then you have something going on in the background...and it's like "we are all connected because of the Odd Sisters"

Never heard of that person, but I do love a good twist to the old tales. The Disney movies are a lot kinder than the original versions of many of those stories. But you know, I think I would like it better if they explored the concept of good and evil. I am not sure if you have heard of the Vocaloids, but one of their songs is called Snow White and Blossom Red. It is kind of a sequel to the story of Snow White.
In an ironic twist, Snow White becomes like her stepmother. Obsessed with her own beauty and constantly asks the magic mirror who is the fairest. Her daughter becomes more and more beautiful and then the mirror changes its answer. There is the poison apple, but this time it blinds Blossom Red and then the mirror breaks and a shard kills Snow White.
Good song.
