Description gasp, what's this? a new thing? not an old thing that's been updated? blasphemy.

Well technically it is an old thing that's been updated, but whatever its a new submission so it counts. I didnt reference the old one at all though and did this entirely by memory, though i did intentionally change some stuff and fix some anatomy. Might look a bit weird though since 1) it messy as heck, 2) its not a pure profile view, it starts turning towards the viewer roughly at the hip. So it looks shorter in body length than it is.

its really messy but i figured i should post something new here since i havent in months.

You're welcome ^^. The Potato pygmy looks adorable too (I was rooting for that little tuber ). How is things going with this pretty dragon with its fluffiness (got to love the fluffy ).Β

ye im glad the potates were finally completed |D reason it took so long was at least partially my fault anyway though hah whoops

im kinda seriously considering pulling the derfbutts from dc and moving it over to ostlea... even if it was ever finished and had the most amazing art n all that its unlikely it would ever be released, honestly. At least in ostlea it may have a chance, and would give them some fun variety on top of what they have going on rn.

It might be good...IDK, Ostlea kind of seems of a site that is more for other critters than dragons, and their standards are a little low for dragons. But it's not bad and I think you would do great there regardless ^^ Oh I wish you could move your cute little pygmies there or...another place...where did you get those Rocket kilifish? My mom is looking for fish and she has found some...but the petstore is...I don't know, the tanks seem a little drabby

Just because their dragon standards might be more lax for dragons doesnt mean mine have to be, at least regarding mine o3o b

Hmm i might do some pygmies there eventually, pygmies are fun.

I got them at a family-owned store down in lansing and quality control combined with them being a bit delicate fish makes them a bit rare unless you specifically ask them to get them at i think auctions and conventions? Idk ill have to ask again next time i go. But i also dont know/dont think they mail fish to customers, could be wrong, ill ask about that too.

Hmm maybe try petsmart? Or find a breeder online? They go by 'rocket' 'clown' and less common 'chocolate' killifish

Especially the ones based off of food. Your Banana pygmies were adorable (must not think or else I'll crave a banana myself).Β

Um...would you...um if it would not be too much problem...would you like to contribute new sketches for the Honey? I feel bad for wanting to drop Slater's sketches and the sprites, but when everyone clearly voices it then I know it's not just me. You did well on the Wish wyvern and Humming and Skwerl and...forgot the other's name (started with a 'Y') said they would be glad to sprite it.Β

But I understand if you say no.

What do they look like...trying to recall if I saw them at petsmart...I don't think they were these one fish which were orange and black...or black and white...they are pretty but I think they might be a little too much for my mom. Do you know of a fish that is quite hardy? I would say a betta since I once remember a betta kept in a bowl with a plant stuck in it...it seemed quite fine. But I don't think my mom is interested in them (though I was watching one swim around in its cup).

sure when i have time. you looking for similar/in spirit of the current ones or completely new based solely on the general honey bee concept?

theyre brown and cream colored with colorful tails, if theyre happy and healthy www.seriouslyfish.com/wp-conte… i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx…

nice hardy fish include danios [very active, move around a lot, like to school please get at LEAST three but more is better, average sizes are 1-2in], gourami [but not the dwarf kind like flame-red or powder-blue, those are prone to some genetic thing and theyll end up exploding and dying. like literally their sides will burst open and its sad. The bigger-bodied kind, about 4 inches long, like Pearl and Lavender gourami, are better. They'll be fine alone, are very pretty and arent as hyperactive as danios], harelquin rasboras [similar to danios, slightly less hyperactive but theyre also schooling fish so the more the better, also stay within 1-2in]. Bettas can actually be kept with other fish [except other bettas Do Not have multiple male bettas together unless you want dead fish] as long as theyre not similar in size to the betta and do not nip at fins [i had a betta in with my 20 gal when i had pearls and harlequins, the harlequins wanted to school with him but he was intimidated by the gourami. the gourami didnt care, but the betta kept displaying at them and getting aggravated so i moved him to his own tank].

If you only want one fish i can recommend a betta since they dont need to school and have a surprising amount of personality, for a fish.

Bettas, regardless of what regular stores say, SHOULD be housed in an at least one gallon tank of some sort, yes it needs a heater, and ideally with a filter. With a filter, you need to change 1/4 of the tank water at least once a week [and if you use city tap water, you probably need to dechlorinate it first. distilled water from stores like walmart are inconsistent in mineral content and should be avoided]. If you dont use a filter, make this at least twice a week.

You can change the water by either (carefully) tipping the tank [if its small enough, please dont do this with anything more than a 1 gallon container it might make a mess] or by using a small tube [often found in the fish section \ o3o / ]

I think some new ones would be nice, based on the general bee concept...it would probably be easier for you to get a better pose. But thank you ^^ I love your bug dragons (as much as your pygmies and fishy dragons)

Wow...those are simply gorgeous, but I don't recall seeing any fish like them...maybe the next time I'll look closer. All I remember seeing were large goldfish, those cheap small ones which kept dying on me (before I switched to a bird and then proceeded to have up to six hamsters in total...not at the same time of course, my current one is my first male but he's getting kind of old...at least he lasted longer than Iloe...).

I do think I saw some gourami at the pet store...but that sounds horrible and something that I would think would be looked into. Having fish that are prone to exploding sounds like something that would need correcting. But the honey gourami look pretty as do the licorice ones.Β

Do you still have some of these fish (I'm a little surprise you aren't doing more concepts based on them, the gourami are quite pretty).Β

aight o3o b

this is the body shape for dwarf gourami, the ones with the issue aquariumfish.net/images_01/dwa… theyre about 2 inches long max. bright and colorful, you can probably get a few good months out of em, but lifespan really depends on individuals. pretty much most/all of the ones youll find are males, apparently. ive had seemingly healthy individuals last between exactly one month, and about a year.

and these are pearl gourami i743.photobucket.com/albums/xx… img.photobucket.com/albums/v44… males have a longer dorsal fin than females in this body shape. these ones are non-explodey, and get about 4-5 inches long max, though i think a few kinds can get a bit bigger

i currently have some danios and a school of harlequins, a pygmy chain loach and some bristlenose plecos
