Wow. I live in Florida and Katrina was expected to come straight for where I lived first. That was one of the most terrifying weekends of my life. We were hit hard here by Ivan, but that was nothing compared to what this storm did. But the only reason it was really devestating is because a levee broke. And what was worse is that people started blaming each other for the consequence of the storm. It's heartbreaking.

Simple and to the point, yet very deep and emotional. The black and white just adds to the mood, too.
I feel so sorry for all those people just couldn't get out in time, you know? Poor things.

I saw this a week ago but never got the chance to fav it...now I finally can.

I'm sure you heard this several times already by now...but...the emotion is so beautifully portraited, the burrying his face in hand while at the same time facing away, sitting alone on the single standing lamp with water flowing calmly below, the simplicity of black and white...eh, I'm not too good with expressing all of the feeling I'm getting from this picture... ~__~;;

One thing for sure, you've done a wonderful job. Sad picture, yes, but it's amazing how well this picture can effect one's emotion...and I pay my condolence to all those vicitims out there.

This is really an amazing piece. I really can't put into words the feelings it provokes........just amazing.
I was born in NO and have family that don't know if they will have homes to go back to. But I am truely thankful that they are all ok. And thank you for giving hope, through your art. We must see the beauty of life, even in the most ugly times.

I for one am not a Danny Phantom fan, but this picture really hit me, the colors show the emotion of the picture and makes people think what they can do to help the victims of Hurricane Katrina, I was hit by the same hurricane but as a catagory 1 but that alone felt like a 5, but after seeing it New Orleans I thank G-d till my heart content that I lived, but then I pray for the victims, and to tell the truth I'm usually the type of person who despises negative like art, but this one is diffrent, but in a good way, I love this art, keep up your style, its amazing.

I am, in fact, one of the people who lives where the hurricane passed, lived, and still has a home. Also, i LOVE Danny Phantom! And it has caring for those who passed away in the hurricane and DP all in one picture! *faves it million times*

Very powerful. I have this as my wallpaper now as a reminder. The Civic Center here is now a refugee center with about 400 people last I heard. [link] is my take on it. Powerful picture to me, even if one isn't a Danny Phantom fan.

Oh my goodness...this pic is so sad...its got that gloomy feel to it, and the lack of color emphasises it...

I have to add this to my fav...not just because it's a good pic, but also to remind me of my sympathy for those poor people in New Orleans.

Axion-Pup [2005-09-03 01:22:35 +0000 UTC]

That's just chock full of emotion... I love the way Danny's turned away.

I just heard a rather disturbing story on 60 Minutes, about an old woman who was rescued after a week of being trapped up to her chest in water, then left on the side of the highway while her husband died of a seizure. God help the victims of the hurricane, I'm doing my best by praying every night.
