I really adore how you did Kanaya. It's quite original. Usually you'd see her with a very long narrow face and a very long nose but I adore the way you did her. All your headcanons are just so utterly original

I've been following your art (first on the forums, then on tumblr/dA) since you first started drawing Homestuck fan art, and I think this series of headshots does a good job of showing off how far you've come. 16 very diverse head shots with truly different facial features and symmetries is a hard task to pull off, but you did it expertly.

The only ones that I share with you all the way, I think, are Dave, Nepeta, Terezi, and Vriska.
I see where you're coming with on all the others though.

I like a lot of these, but I feel like Aradia would be prettier, personally. Most of them are pretty spot on with how I picture them, though!
Different headcanons are fun to see because it's the same character yet so many different versions of them come out of the fandom.

yeah, i was honestly a little torn on how i wanted to draw aradia, because most of the time i picture her as being very pretty, too.
i guess i ended up going with the worn-out look anyway, though!

Ooh. I really like the way you've dealt with the sea-dwellers' face-fins. That and the sheer variety in all of their facial features. (Also John is the cutest WHY MUST YOU DO THIS TO ME.)

i was never satisfied with my interpretation of fin-ear things for the seadwellers so i just separated them completely. i'm glad they don't look dumb, DANG.
