lol so this is what I do when I should be working on Sakura. I was super excited to make this character though, cause I found one of the hairstyles I used for them in my Sims3 game. Unfortunately, the conversion process was not kind to the hair texture (as I probably should've known it would have transparency issues). So I tried to find an equally short hair that kind of fit the style I was going for and ended up with this! The model is still a work in progress, still need to find a decent shirt and maybe change the shoes. But I got the pants all figure out!Originally I was gonna have more to this scene, buuut I needed a dragon for it and I was waaay too picky about it and couldn't find a dragon I was happy with. So long story short, another character from this world left a dragon behind, so I was wanting a sort of friendly dragon that I could resize or whatever to be a young dragon, then an older one. But, of course, every dragon I found was super intense sooo idk what Imma do about that cause I really need a dragon for when I make the other model.
So what do you guys think of this new character? In the grand scheme of things, their story is rather unimportant... I guess. (doesn't even get to finish off the bad guy) But at first they didn't have any story until I came up with this really cute idea for a kind of mini-story (aka I like to complicate things for myself)

I thought I'd try doing something different with this model cause I wanted her to have a different feel -- and Shiki was the perfect base to use XD. Still working out the outfit design, but I really liked the idea of the cloak since it fits with my story pretty well.
And though a pretty minor character in the grand scheme of my story (her sister kinda steals the spotlight from her really) I decided to fill in her story cause while working on her sister's story I was just like, well what is this girl doing that whole time. Then I really fell in love with her design after I created her in Sims3 cause before that point I was super wishy-washy about her looks. It's too bad the Sims3 hair didn't convert well, but omg I looove this new look!

Plus since I used Shiki as a base, she's missing a lot of leg and torso so my choices are more limited than I'm used to. Cause she needs to move around a lot and knee high boots weren't originally in her description but she has no calfs for me to work with other types of shoes lol

Thanks, I never really feel like my face edits are that different until I go back and compare them to what I started. Cause I change things so gradually at first and the process goes so slow at times the edits all just kind of blur together and I feel like nothing has changed. I'm glad you like it though, that's definitely a confidence booster c:

And thanks, I was pretty happy with how they turned out. And I didn't mean for it to necessarily be unknown, but I did purposefully leave their name and gender out of the description. I was trying to achieve a certain ambiguity with this model and wanted to know which gender people thought they looked like. There's a certain plot that revolves around their gender and I wanted to know if I achieved the look I was going for, enough to cause confusion about their true gender.
So, if you don't mind, which gender do you think they look like? Don't mind if your guess ends up 'wrong', I'm merely curious about your opinion. c:

Well I think the character looks more like a girl to be honest with you.
But at the same time the character can just be a feminine looking boy XD

That's partly cause I started with Shiki as a base, and also because she actually is a girl! She's just not very girly cause she grew up in the forest. But many people question her gender and I wanted to try to portray that in a model and have someone who you weren't quite sure at first glance what their gender was.

Omg I just figured out a super easy way to separate out parts. I gotta go back to work right after this so if you need more of an explanation I'll be back in 6 hours. But while selecting the hair (or any part) I think you just have to hit ctrl+x and it should select the whole item you're touching. That's how I got the jacket, and skirt/belt as well. c:

I purposefully didn't reveal the gender because I wanted to see what gender people thought the character was because I was trying to achieve a certain look and I didn't want to give away the gender until I got public opinion. So if you don't mind telling me which you think it is? There's no wrong answer (I mean, it's obviously one or the other, but I won't mind if your guess isn't right) I guess what I'm trying to say is, I'm just curious. c:

Yep, sure are! I'm happy you thought it was a boy, but she's actually a girl! But she was raised in a forest and is very tomboyish, which is why she kind of looks like a boy. But her gender is questioned by a lot of people in my story so I wanted to try to make a model that was hard to tell their gender as well.

Haha, it may partly because I used Shiki as a base. She she kinda inherently looks girly, but I tried my best to make her look more boy-ish.
I was planning on making a male OC before this one, but he was giving me trouble so I jumped ship to this little lady cause I found the perfect substitute hair and wanted to see if I could use Shiki's face to achieve the look I was going for.
If you remember though, I do have a guy character -- Rei Ikimono. I don't use him much since I've been focusing on Sakura and he doesn't come into her story until post CoM, but he's the one with the blue hair and pink eyes you helped me to fix up. Though I used Rhyme's face for him so he's kinda girly as well XD
I do have more male characters I plan on working with eventually, just trying to locate suitable hair and find bases that don't have freakishly large hands lol

Yeah, hopefully I can figure everything out. My current plans right now are working with Sakura a little more with perfecting her outfit and weapon design and trying to put together another male OC or two. I want to make Hikari's cousin and Rei's best friend since Rei's birthday is next month, just have to find the right hair for him and I think that'll be a cute present for Rei XD

Mmm, I'll try to find a reference pic of him, but I don't think I ever uploaded his image online (I can't draw on computer cause I don't have a tablet so I only have a paper drawing and I haven't seen it in a long while). I think my friend drew a pic of him for me but idk if her style was accurate enough. Anyway, while I'm looking, the basic concept is bangs and a short, low ponytail (though from my search he may have to ditch the ponytail cause nothing I find is suitable). Right now the best I can find is the first hair from this pack, though that is without the ponytail. I don't want you to trouble yourself too much by searching, just if there's anything you've come across that fits the description.
And yeah, my baby's birthday is the 14th next month so I don't have much time to make his best friend, but Imma try my best!
