Description What we've seen before us is a sad and cruel fate that would strike any living being at its very core. Not a death, onslaught or apocalypse, but one of such unfathomable despair. A fate that few have ever dreamed of, but we had the misfortune of bearing.

It is the weight of a thousand suns collapsing upon themselves in a hopeless continuum. A weight that seeks to burden any and all things, feeling and unfeeling alike. It knows no mercy, no pain, no fear, no feeling whatsoever.

So this is our last... Our last sunrise, our last sunset. Our last happiness, our last despair. Our last pleasure, our last pain. Our last hope, our last suffering. Our last brilliance, our last foolishness. Our last love...

Yet there is one last desperation. One last way out. And though it rends our hearts in twain...

...it's hope.

Nope =3
Kale is a Chae jay (a blue jay)
These two here are Molokai Jays.

Well, that's that cleared up then! This is southwinds art, no doubt, but is it based off something that has happened already or something that is yet to happen? Rikaio's a Molokai if my memory serves me right.

Nice picture, and nice poetic text. Very nicely done.

But really, what a load of propaganda. The Havan launched a full scale military strike on a Karo colony without provocation. Such acts will not only be considered highly barbaric an uncivilized even by our standards, it will also be considered a war crime if civilians were killed in the attack, even by our standards. And if the Havan were a part of a international political community like the United Nations, then it'll be all hell on them; they will be condemned by the general assembly and the disarmament commission and strict political and economic sanctions will be placed on them. Not to mention the general assembly won't prevent the Karo from launching a full retaliatory strike.

I... am speechless. There are no words, nary a poem, to describe just how confused and... well, to put it bluntly, amazed I am.

Deeply emotional to be sure! And quite the surprise if I may say so! Had no idea this had made it on to your Southwinds art list! ^v^ very nice seeing these two for the first time!

And a very intriguing interpretation of this storyline too! Very cinematic! I can almost hear "Preview Announcer Guy's" voice saying these words as scenes pan across the screen OvO

Man...this makes me so want to get to this part of the story! ^v^ Can't wait to starting telling it! Thanks for bring this to life! It's not a scene by any means, but that's what makes it so cinematic - it's thematic in every sense of the word without divulging anything....very intriguing! ^v^ You certainly have a way of imaging characters that haven't ever made an appearence story-side ^v^ thanks again! This is quite the uplifting surprise ^v^

As your Director of Expansion, it is my sacred duty to enhance these characters and their world without upsetting the delicate balance you have so well established =3

I do so love being able to bring you joy from the deep wealth that is this story. This gives me confidence in the belief that this story won't ever die. Not with all the love and support it's getting ^V^

The words describe it all, yet the picture gives it the complete meaning, there's so much else to infer from this point on that it makes no sense to talk about the implications, everything here is fueled by the keyword "emotion".

Whenever darkness is enormous, there would always be light somewhere, that light hidden is hope, when light dims it nees its hope to regain strength, both light and dark are two faces of the same coin, so even darkness has hope for coming back when light is the master. The maleability of hope under duality contexts is what fuels momments like this one in the picture.

The expressions here are an immediate success when hope is what we are talking about, all what was described is technically lost safe for the hope, whatever that hope is physically doesn't matter for the picture states awesomely that it is important.

The background with the ship is what also caught my attention aside from the expressions, you got all what the southwind story is about on that context implicit on the image of the ship, a past, a present and a future, the uniform is also a signal of the context, my friend you seem to have hidden knowledge about this scene and so much can be said about it that the tension of uncertainty that can be seen here is the sum of it.

The lighting was also nice, it helps to "see" the hope, like they are glimpsing it even though we aren't told what it exactly is, it also makes that tear in the female bird shine, demonstrating the negative contexts of what was going on when a situation seems to be completely lost.

Under these evidences I can say with great certainty that the execution here is AMAZING, and if you can't see the conceptual value of it being YOU the one who did it, well...

Nicely done and hey man, I'm hoping you are right, sicne that last note you send me was a bit unrealistic udner actual circunstances. Best wishes anyway bro ^v^

Hehe, yes. Hidden information that I am sworn to not reveal. But I CAN craft beautiful things around it :3

There are a lot of deep emotions that run whenever I think about these particular birds. I have faith that many others will feel the same anguish, wanting and yearning as I do when these events are finally unveiled. While we can credit that to the original writer, I am proud to be the one to bring it to life in this way ^V^

The technical aspects of the drawing are secondary at best when the emotion of the content is this powerful: the markings of a successful piece ^V^

As always, thank you for your thoughts, my friend ^V^

Hehe, I can theorize baased on what our mutual bro has already told me... not so much but indeed I have a way of always getting the concept right, it happened a few times so...

Emotions really drive this scene into what it is, spectacullar, I hope to see the context of these feeling in our bro's story.

You're welcome man it is always a pleasure ^v^

This is a very powerful image. I've seen the characters around a few times within and about the same story - it really builds up their personality and character. And then everything from your description of the scene to the background of the spaceship and starry night, to the distant poses and moods on the characters - it all blends together and makes for an amazing story piece escalated by the climactic nature of the scene. This is the perfect kind of picture to draw.

Thank you for those lovely thoughts ^V^

I love being able to convey the heavy feelings of such a wonderful story. It doesn't feel fabricated or made up. It feels like these birds are real, living real lives and feeling real pain. But, of course, from the pain, I wanted to give them some more. Something almost divine ^V^

Bro, this whole thing is so moving. You can practically feel their anguish and, more importantly, their hope. It is perhaps the greatest force in the universe, able to impart strength they thought to not exist. When all else fails, hope endures.
All I can say is that you've captured the feeling perfectly. Well done, my friend, well done. ^V^

What an amazing masterpiece, George. The contrast between the two birds, and between the light shining on them and the darkness that surrounds them, finishes this already touching piece. Hope really does play such a large part in our finite lives...

It is quite symbolic of how when it seems like you have nothing left, there is always a little something we all can hold on to. It takes different forms for different people, but that feeling of hope is nearly universal =3
