Description
My little tribute to one of 's most recent birds. [link]Jen here is singing the blues in the spotlight of one of the local bars, helping other birds soothe those pains and drown those aches away. ^V^

I'm honored that you want to be as much as you are! What you do here...it really lends life to my characters and makes them more than JUST my characters. They have an existance outside of my own art now ^v^

I read Corrvo's description...personally I would've given a magpie a warm alto voice
that lighting's a bit bright for a bar, looks more like she's in a theater

I have to admit it, no matter which style she is, she still shines incredibly, even in the dark blues atmosphere you've placed her, not only because of the lighting effects, it's also her face and beauty in general, it cautivates me quite a lot, I can even say that I'm in love with this character to some extent.
I applaud to you, man, this piece is a success, not only because of the lighting effects over the atmosphere, but also because of the elegant color palette you placed here all along with Jen's original colors. those apply very well together with the blacks, browns and whites in the picture in question, but alos your own personal additions to her character aesthetically, those golden jewels are really wonderful and combines with her blues, whites and yellows, all along with that black and transparent cloth finely placed which keeps both her beauty and elegance with her sexiness also even in the bar ambient, an ambient which isn't commonly regarded as elegant, but who knows, maybe birds are naturally elegant and of good tastes, so that is open to interpretation. I also like to point out the detail of her beauty mark in her left cheek, which is some of the things I liked the most from her, I liked the fact that you placed it here, it truly makes you worth of the respect corrvo mentions he has towards you, also the blue from Jen's fingernails are present, all together with her pose and expression works together to give her life and the mood you were seeking while making this.
An amazing tribute to her this is I really find your style nice, and this version is quite an interesting result all together with the new situation you've placed her, congratulations for this magnificent artwork.

I know from Corrvo's testimony that Jen means alot to you. It's not hard to see why, she's captured my heart as well ^V^
Hopefully this piece stands as evidence that the finer details, while present and adequately executed, are second nature instead of the focus of the piece. It really is the lighting and atmosphere that brings this all together, and I'm glad you noticed ^V^ Posing has also been a focus as of late, trying to give my characters a more dynamic feel and appearance while conveying just enough expression and emotion without going over the top. Particularly challenging in this one was depicting a bird singing like a human would, but without the use of a microphone. I'll let the viewer decide for his or herself whether or not it succeeds, but I feel pretty good about it ^V^
Still trying to find that balance in style between mine and Corrvo's, and I like how this one stands the best so far.

I'm glad to hear it from you ^v^, it's imposible not to die for Jen,she is captivating till the concept itself of her, that's what makes her so beautiful in any well executed style.
Yes the focus, really was what geve her life in this picture, and the idea of her singing without microphone is a success, birds don't need microphones, so the execution was completely apropiate, the expression is something you captured very well, alltogether with the lighting, though I admit it was a little excessive, it was JUST a little, but of courseyou can do it better, I can see that you don't have problems with that actually as far as I'm concerned.
The balacne is reaching an algid point I do agree with that point but it can always be bettered, as you can see corrvo's also advancing in his style, so you are, so the balance is quite relative as time goes by.
Let the heavens always provide us with lovely birdies for us to admire at any time in the future ^v^, you're doing it great!

She would most likely enjoy singing in the Buterflies Lounge on board the ship in that it's a room that has a stage that looks like this artwork only on the ceiling of the room there are ten foot across glowing neaon on the ceiling and on the walls there are hunderds of mounted real butterfilies and months in plasic glass blocks on the walls.
