Description Nothing more than another attempt at painting surreal portraits with watercolors.
Spencer Reid from Criminal Minds, again. Looks like I can't stop drawing his interesting face. Well, here he looks more like a rockstar on a Seventies album cover. But it was fun.

Everything's painted with purple, copper orange and bright green on a 22x30 cm sheet of good watercolor paper. As usual, my scanner doesn't get the real colors. Sorry.

This is watercolor? Great job! I love Reid, he is most certainly my favorite from Criminal Minds...so smart, so funny...so hopelessly weird with all his crazy styles.

Yeah, it's watercolor and I tried to paint everything using just three colors. Because when I use more the result looks chaotic

Yaay, it's SO cool! And for me, who can't even touch watercolors without providing a disaster, it's a masterpiece. Pity, that scanners are nasty and don't want to show real, obviously beautiful colors.
And by the way, your tutorial helped me a lot. My first reidy Reid portait lays on the desk now, and my whole family keep asking me who this handsome man is, and do I fell in love with him.

Thanks! Well, watercolors are tricky. I tried to paint 4 Reid portraits and totally failed two of them.

I'm not sure, but I think his eyes are a little lighter than Hotchner's, so I'd sey it's hazel.
