Description This took me about two days to paint in Adobe Photoshop CS2. It looks like shit to me but I hope you guys like it >.<'

I tried really hard but my hand does begin to hurt after having to zoom in to paint each and every individual scale DX Don't even get me started on how much of a pain in the ass the background was lol I spent a few hours trying to find some really good tutorials.

This is a very late birthday gift for and I hope she likes it

Once again, this is a picture of one of the dragons from the latest game by Bethseda in their Elder Scrolls series. I wanted to have the background similar to the skies from the game.

Stunning! The choice of the colors you used is amazing, you managed to combine purple and blue harmonicaly, and the level of the details is really high. Good job man, i really liked it ^^

you call this a fail? Good lord! It would take me a year to make something even slightly as good as this. And that background, I used to practice space art so much, and could never get my planets/moons to look LIKE THAT

the only iffy part I can spot (and believe me, I had to look hard) is the end of the tail. It looks like it's dissolving into the wing a bit. Otherwise, this whole piece is pretty epic

Lol yeah, I saw that too and it does like like it's dissolving into the wing. I think I may have over used the highlights a bit XP

everyone has room for improvement! but still, where your art is now, it's pretty astounding *-*

Thank you. I guess it's just that whenever I do a space background of some sort, it doesn't fit with the main subject of the picture because it just looks like a cutout or something because with the tutorials that I've found, you don't simply paint the space background because it involves filling the layer, doing gaussian blurs with the monochromatic settings and adding noise and making little drops of light with the lighting effects to make stars, etc. It was like that on my other piece too that I did called Drops of Jupiter. That and to me, the details along the dragon weren't... I guess to say 'detailed' enough or something. >.<' But thank you anyway.

Thank you and I love how they designed their dragons for the game as well, especially with the close ups on some of their loading screens too. What am I talking about? Their latest game is just simply epic and the graphics are stunningly amazing. ^.^

yup, it has art tools that photoshop has (paint brush bucket and selection tools really) and it has layers ofcourse, and once you get used to working on a timeline, it's pretty fun! and making a game is a bit harder, because you have to enter in a lot of actionscript coding (i'm bad at that) and flash is pretty expensive, but if you're willing to shell out it's awesome!

I'll give that a try when I start making more money and hopefully I'll be able to make a game based off my novels and series, but kind of like Dragon Fable.
