Two very intelligent, 18/19 year old, best friends and gay lovers/soulmates, who killed their 13 year old cousin (one of their’s obviously), and close family friend in the other case, and after brutalizing the boy who trusted him, decided to try to destroy traceable evidence by burning his body with acid and castrating him for some reason related to concerns on the boy being circumcised which is an identifiable feature in some way I’m not remember properly...

The case became famous because these two had an incredible lawyer who appealed to the public’s fear of war and chaos at this time, and avoided these two getting the death penalty. One got murdered in prison and other get let out some time in his 50’s since he received parole. He ended up marrying a woman and they moved to some island I believe, and he became something similar to a social worker and seemed to have a very different perspective than the one who had as a young murderer.

They were very famous in the 20’s (I believe, if not then the 30’s), and the case has been glorified in some ways due to the very interesting factors of how the killers thought, their motive (Superman Theory), and the fact they had so much good in their future but decided to destroy it for the sake of a twisted, satisfying, experimental killing.

Just checked. It was the 20’s and the cousin was 14 actually. The men were in college and their interest for the theory peeked while attending one of their classes, and they’ve generally always have been very analytical and evaluative since they grew up very wealthy and well read and relatively quiet. They were also far from the “anti-social” stereotype though. They were skilled in tennis and shared other atheistic prowess, and could communicate just fine whenever they wanted to. But eventually their other friends just began an aspect of their facade because over time they began to become extremely entitled to a point no other ‘spoiled’ person could even mimic. They felt superior over almost all other humans known. They wanted to prove themselves as essentially, Godly beings.
