FengHuang, the Chinese Phoenix.

not the species but THE Phoenix, the most sacred beast of all and the consort of The Dragon, not of dragons but of THE Dragon... the one sacred beast.
FengHuang, like all sacred beasts is neither male nor female as it is.. she is considered a femenine entity but is not truly a female, the same way The Dragon is considered a male entity but not truly a "male".

Unlike European Phoenixes, she can't rise from her ashes and is not asociated with fire but with wind, even her appearance is different, the European Phoenix is more raptor-like, FengHuang looks more like a fowl, a pheasant or a peacock. She doesn't need re-birth becouse she cannot die, neither of old age or of injury becouse she is not a physical entity.
when it comes to the chinese Phoenix "species" Feng is for males, Huang is for females, but the one I tried to depic here is neither.

no la especie sino EL Fenix, la criatuta mas sagrada de todas y la esposa del Dragon, no de los dragones sino de EL Dragon... la unica bestia sagrada.
FengHuang, como todas las bestias sagradas no es ni hembra ni macho en si.. se le considera una entidad femenina pero no es una hembra, de la misma manera que el dragon es una entidad masculina pero no un "macho".

A diferencia del Fenix Europeo, no puede renacer de sus cenizas y no se le asocia con el fuego sino con el viento, incluso su apariencia es diferente, el Europeo es mas como un ave de presa, FengHuang se parece mas a una gallina, a un faisan o a un pavoreal. Ella no necesita renacer por que no puede morir,ni por edad ni por heridas por que no es un ser "fisico".
Si se refieren a la "especie" de los Fenix Chinos entonces es Feng para los machos y Huang para las hembras, pero la de este dibujo no es ninguna.
