Description A portrait of my character Kelpi, from final fantasy XIV.
She's a miqo'te.
I tried to bring her to life
Painted her like how I would think she would look if she would be standing next to me,
rather then just draw the character as in the game

I love your use of dark light in this pictureΒ Β 
The texture of the hair and the face looks really great. Her expression looks like a mix of wonder and thoughtfulness and I love that. To me, the eyes looks a bit uneven plus the depth too could have been deeper too. As a scene the depth is okay but for a portrait, an artist ought to use more depth. But overall you did a great job.

Ha You're the first one to dare to mention the wobbly (whobleyh!) eye It only started to become so obvious to me after I posted it here XD
Don't know exactly where you refer to with depth :S More contrast? To make certain features and their sides stronger shadow and dimensional feeling?
Or do you mean more perspective/overlapping?Β

She looks beautiful amazing work. I love how much details you put into the picture and the angle of the drawing.
I do feel like the drawing it’s a bit dark and hard to see.Β She is so amazing just wish I could see her better Β .
You did an amazing job with her eyes and hair.

The shadiness of the drawing was intentual as I found the colours of the bit of light in contrast with those of the shadow, gave a bit of a mystical feeling.
But I agree, together with the bit smudgy strokes it does not really make her come clear to view
Something to work on Keeping the atmosphere but at the same time giving the drawing a more clear feeling on it's subject

I'm digging the facial expression she holds. She appears to be observing whatever might be in her line of sight with those bright, over curious green eyes. Or at the very least may be processing a conversation she's a part of. I very much like the pale skin complexity unless the lighting and shadows are tricking my eyes into believing she's pale-skinned. The freckles add to the cuteness of her being a catgirl if I'm not mistaken, what with the cat ears upon her head. I do believe that there's a pale pink flower in her pale purple hair? If so, very nice. This is one piece of art that's captured my attention. You contrast the light and shadows just right. So I agree with the fact that this picture holds much lifelike properties!

I think you are the first to notice her catiness outloud But yes indeed she is. They have fluffy big ears, those miqotes.
If you look very close you can see her two little fangs and she has a tiny bit of a muzzle I gave her starlight freckles as she's of the moonclan
Her skin as in game would have indeed this pale blue/purplish hue but hard to make out in the lights and shadows
Indeed it's sort of a pink flower but made from a very transparent ribbon

From her small lips to her hair, she is stunningly beautiful
Her eyes look so pretty and deep in thought ^^

what makes ffxiv different then the ones you played is that you play it with thousands of other people on a server
It is a MMO or better said MMORPG (mass multiplayer online role playing game).
If you like to try such thing out but stay in the final fantasy vibes, i'd say try it

I was afraid of that.Β  I knew FFXI was an MMO, and I just don't play well with others lol.Β  I can still love the characters, artwork, and music though!
