Ah that makes sense. As a hobbyist, I would love to work in gold more. Unfortunately, it is hard to get anything under 14k to work with here.

Although it is more affordable, it is harder to work with, has a lower melting point and is much harder than 14k. But you should be able to get some formulas off the web to make your own.
