Mischa was a long-range scout sent to find out what had happened to the human colonists that had been sent to the Rakshasa system. She began to suspect why their last transmission was just before they entered the system when her own tiny ships systems began to go haywire almost as soon as she'd entered the system. It was everything she could do to get the ship down in one piece, and then the self-destruct timer had gone off. Her access codes failed to shut it down, and she'd run for her life. The explosion had knocked her out, and when she'd woken up the big hairy fellow was standing over her, and her hands were bound behind her back. She protested - loudly - when he'd slipped the collar and leash on her and started dragging her along behind him, saying something about "dinner" in his gutteral pidgin Terran. But he'd ignored her protests, and soon she'd had to save her breath just to keep up. A bit ago something nasty-sounding had picked up there trail, and that's when her captor had yanked off her boots, snuffled them with a thoroughly disgusted sound, and tossed them, one at a time, in different directions, into the jungle. Their follower had made two horrifically angry-sounding screeches when it discovered the trick, but they had run hard to escape.

Mischa was becoming exhausted at all the running, she hoped they'd stop soon so she could catch her breath. But she was worried. She wasn't sure she'd understood this "come for dinner" thing properly. Was she coming as a guest? Or an entree? Perhaps if he found her entertaining enough he'd decide it was as guest instead of the alternative. She just hoped she could entertain the big lunk.

The fact that he spoke Terran suggested a connection between him and the missing colonists... She hoped it was a friendly connection.

Char'z had seen the star fall into the jungle and decided to investigate. He was still far away when it flashed and boomed. He'd found the strange female soon after. He wasn't sure what to do with her, so he bound her and leashed her so he could take her back to the tribe for the advice of the Elders. Perhaps he'd keep her as a pet.

A humorous note: I realized while in the midst of my first attempt to render that Hiro was aimed DIRECTLY into the tree that is now off to his side. Hadn't realized it while trying to move them to where I could see them clearly in the camera.
