Description
The Takuya is an original ship created by me for the Iain M. Banks “Culture” universe. Heavily inspired by user Kingdom of Xerxes Culture ships, the Takuya is meant to act as a scout/quick interdictor/exploratory ship for the various loosely associated groups in the Culture, particularly Contact, Special Circumstances, and the Interesting Times Group.
Seven biologicals, one ship’s avatar and four drones make up the crew complement. It’s mothership, Mind the Gap, is a 450m scaled-up version of the same model. Mind the Gap is based out of the Wanderer Lost in the Woods, a 8km vessel that acts as a mobile Culture embassy-at-large and mobile exploratory base.
