I went with the lower size originally since it made sense in the way of limited exotic off world resources. It would really limit the size and number of ships we could make. Also looking at the size of an aircraft carrier and how many years and materials goes into something like that.

I know what you mean, but I am guessing that was not really taken into consideration as the bays are rather small and the F-302 kinda big. The size I was using was 450 meters lenght for the BC-304 and it was kinda fine to fit the fighters.

Who knows how long it took the Ancients to be able to make and work with pocket dimensions! We have to be able to decipher more of Atlantis' database for that, but drones seem to be a less-hard thing to (re)make.
