Description A male Plumed Basilisk (Basiliscus plumifrons). Plumed basilisk males have three crests: one on the head, one on their back, and one on the tail. The females, however, only have one crest, on the head.
These lizards are able to run short distances across water using both its feet and tail for support.

Shot through glass.

Great shot. The yellow in the eye against the green draws the attention nicely to the head.

If you don't mind me asking, does your 300mm lens have VR? This is phenominally clear for 1/50 of a second and having been shot through glass too. I've always thought the D40 copes well with high ISO settings and this is no exeption.

Thank You very much!!
I don't mind! I'm using the Tamron 70-300mm lense and it doesn't have VR.
I'm very pleased with the way the D40 handles high ISO.

Thank You!!
I'd love to see them running over water in real life. I've only seen it on TV so far.
