Interesting Fact:

Two of the liners in this photo would be destroyed by fire:

1. SS Normandie: New York, February 9, 1942
2. RMS Queen Elizabeth: Hong Kong, January 9, 1972

*Curious note: Both fires happened during *Conversion* and both fires happened on the *9th* day in the month

i dunno if noticed, i just noticed it now, if look at both Cunard liners, I think both of them are painted in their war paint as the Mary looks pretty grey or white in this photo postcard even the funnels look painted in war paint
