Shenandoah and Finarel were pretty close when they were young! Shen considered Finarel one of her closest friends <3 Most of what we have seen is the sad times they have recently fallen upon, so I wanted to post something to highlight how close they once were! Also shown in this rp of their first meeting <3

Ever since Finarel had heard about the new Vale pup, she had tried to approach her. However, it somehow ended in a sequence of unsuccessful attempts, followed by another sequence of awkward situations that lead Ella to believe that she should probably wait for the right opportunity, instead of keep trying to force it on her own terms.
She knew very little about the new pup. Well, she actually knew that her name was Shenandoah, although others would refer to her as Princess. She also knew that Shen was the daughter of the Queen and King of Vale, which seemed to be the reason for why Brunhilda didn't like her. Not that Brunhilda had actually told her that she had a distaste for Shen, but, in fact, she never needed to, for if there was something that Finarel's mother was horrible at, was at hiding her feelings thowards others. And, at last but not least, that the cocoa pup was always accompanied by one of the "Black Wa

Shenandoah sat in the shadows of her parents’ former den. The walls were stone and cold and brought her only pain and sorrow. She wanted to have a different den, but Alar had insisted that this was the King and Queen’s den. It was her den now, as the child Queen of Vale, soon to rule once she becomes old enough to take over. For now Alar ruled in her stead. Shenandoah wished he would just stay King forever, though. She didn’t want to be Queen. She felt so lost without her parents… and she hated the wolves who surrounded her… she hated the harrowed land that had once been her home. All she wanted to do was leave this place. Leave it far behind her. But that wasn’t a choice. Alar had said so. Soon she would have no choice but to take her place as the rightful Queen, which stressed her out immensely. After all, how could she rule wolves that she distrusted, and hated, in a land that haunted her
