How lucky we were to be coming down from Murren to Lauterbrunnen at exactly the time when the cows were being brought down from the high mountain meadows for the winter. What a wonderful procession of garlanded cows with cow bells clunking and people calling out - almost yodelling. My Austrian mother would have been in heaven (where she actually is).Related content
