The Emblem on the left is that of the Republican Navy's, while the Emblem on the right is the Navy's Peaked Cap's Badge.


The Red Piping and Tint signify COMMAND Officers; that is, they are an Officer in Deployable (in other words, mobile units / formations) Fleets, Admiral Staffs, and various Commands in the Navy such as,

- First Gaean Fleet,

- Seventh Promethean Flotilla,

- Amphibious Warfare Command,

- Submersible Operations Command,

- Sealift & Seaborne Command,

- Strategic Naval Nuclear Command,

- etc.


The Yellow Piping and Tint signify STAFF Officers holding Departmental (rather than combat) positions, such as,

- Naval Research Laboratories,

- Navy-Owned Shipbuilding Companies,

- Publications & Documentations,

- Naval Hospitals (Ground and Oceanic-Based)

- The Admiralty,

- Naval Military Governorates,

- The Naval Academy,

- The Naval Fleets University,

- Naval Education, Training, and Indoctrination Institutes / Schools,

- The Department of the Navy itself,

- etc.


The Blue Piping and Tint signify REGIONAL Officers holding positions in Regional units, which in this case almost always refers to Stationary Fleets e.g.

- The Home Fleet,

- Gaean Oceanic Region,

- The Caspian Sea Fleet,

- The Mediterranean Fleet,

- Stolitzgrad Marines Regiment,

- Black Sea Tactical Nuclear Warfare Wing,

- etc.


Note:

- Command Officers have both the Command Batons and the Ranked Unit Flag (Unit / Formational Flag signifying their position in said Unit, e.g. COs, Logistics Officers, Liaison Officers, First Mate, etc.),

- Staff Officers only have the Positional Departmental Flag (Departmental Flag with their Position in it, e.g. Professor of Naval Strategy, Surgeon General of the Medical Corps, Director of the Oceanic Research Laboratorium, Chief Cook, etc.), &

- Regional Officers only have the Command Batons with several rings on it to signify their leadership on the unit as a whole (e.g. Commander of the A, B, C, or D Company, etc.).
