Hey guys this is my contribution for the redraw your favorite panel from the Adventures of Tintin series challenge on tumblr created by secondhandmaster.tumblr.com/

There are a LOT of funny Tintin comic panels, but I went with this scene form “The Red Sea Sharks” where Bianca Castafiore greets her dear old friend Captian Haddock and, like always, messes up his name. So Haddock makes a joke out of it and it kills me every time (especially Tintin’s “Captain, you little shit” expression.

This was originally going to be just a black and white drawing, but one thing lead to the other and now it’s a digital doddle. I also added text that I made in paint (because my chicken scrawl was too hard to read). I tried my best to keep it as close to the original drawing as possible, but a few things are slightly different. Like Tintin’s design; my version is a little slimmer and less baby faced (I’m sorry my ginger haired now-not-so baby faced assassin!) Also Haddock’s eyebrows are thicker and he has more visible wrinkles, but for the most part I tried to make it close to Hergé’s original designs.
