Description The Bearded Tit or Bearded Reedling, Panurus biarmicus, is a small and enigmatic bird found in Europe and Asia. It inhabits reedbeds, feeding mainly on insects in spring and summer, and on reed seeds in autumn and winter - its digestive system changing to cope with the change in diet. Only the males have the black 'moustache'. It is not a true tit, apparently being quite distantly related to any other songbirds. Thank you Sarah! Do you know these? They're called 'Baardmannetjies' over there. We have a 'Baardmannetjie' in South Africa too but it's quite a different species of bird. I will try and make a painting of that one soon as well.

No, I don't know this bird, which is strange because he lives in reed beds near lakes, lots of water where I live, but I've never seen these. Maybe I just don't pay enough attention.

What you do is type :iconquaddie/: (But without the /) this will put the ID up,its the same for anyones ID,just change the name ..
