Description This, Streptopelia decipiens, is a pigeon-sized dove that occurs in savannah in sub-Saharan Africa. They particularly like the tall trees growing beside rivers. This painting was done from a photo I took of one feasting on wild figs in Letaba Camp of the Kruger National Park. Acrylic.
