Inspired by fellow Deviant Artist and fellow train and cartoon fan (I just gave away the username!)

Trainsandcartoons has done artwork similar to this, including this one of Arthur, the aardvark meeting Arthur the engine www.deviantart.com/trainsandca…. There's also this one www.deviantart.com/trainsandca… I thought he did Buster meets Buster too, maybe someone else did or maybe I was hallucinating! And I thought he did other Arthur characters meeting other Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends characters.

There was one I knew he didn't do and I wanted to do it before he did if he ever planned to! I confess I kind of wanted to beat him to it! So I made James Meets James! I drew James MacDonald, the 4-year-old rabbit from Arthur, meeting James the big red engine from Thomas the Tank Engine. This is my first drawing ever of James the engine and boy was that hard to do! I've drawn Thomas before but this is my first time drawing James, he's even harder to draw than Thomas! And I was planning to do more Thomas the Tank Engine fanart. Could be a while before I do that! Also, I wanted to do this over the last couple or so years after seeing T&C's fanart and finally got around to it!

Two things I like about James, he's red, my favorite color, and he's number 5, my favorite single-digit number, I like red and 5!

I hope some of you like this. And free to use, copy/redraw, and share/repost but please credit me for my work and the characters to their rightful owners!

It would have been cool if T&C did this before I did, I'd have been a little bummed for missing the opportunity to do so, but I would have been okay with it! I don't think I'll be doing anymore of these though, this, or something else, took a lot out of me and T&C is better at this than I am!
