just did a real quick sketch and color (spent a total of maybe 30 minutes on this) of what i want my ffxi character beamr to look like once i get started in ffxiv.
there's not a lot different for the most part... i really just put him in one of the outfits shown for the character models... then added some scruff and a scar. i figure i'm going to have lots of fun with the character creator for the game tweaking little things about my main, but for the most part i plan to keep him look pretty close to what he was before. the scar (so long as i can place one there) would kinda be a little nod toward one of the older drawings i did of the guy as a paladin (my current DA avatar). planning on him being a hyur midlander. probably gonna start off in discipline of war skill set... with swords of course. XD
and more than likely... when this design becomes more concrete (and in game), i'll do a more polished/finished version.

crap FF13 is already out and 14 is only a few months away?

a few months for a pc release. ff13 is only on the consols... that and 14 is an mmo which kinda separates it (just like 11 which came out very soon after 10) from the rest of the franchise.

i just love how that set always looks like a pirate outfit XD ..also the fact the game starts on a pirate ship is awesome too.... ready for adventure Mate.. set the sails yar...and ...cliche other piraty things...XD

ya know... i'm starting to worry. i'll be getting home like a week or two before the game comes out and i still don't completely know if my pc can run the game. i'm worried about my graphics card... it's not nearly as powerful as i thought it would be. ;_;

I enjoy seeing quick sketches like this. Nice to see the process. I'd throw up some of my sketches, but they always seem to be covered in notes about what I need to change, along with phone numbers, groceries lists and random rants about what's bugging me with the world.
